Go Canoeing and Kayaking in Minneapolis

Plenty of opportunities for paddling in the Minneapolis – St. Paul metro area. Boats are available for rent at most of the large lakes. Calhoun, Cedar and Lake of the Isles are connected and make a lovely adventure.
Another option for paddling near the Twin Cities includes a river float, both the Cannon River and the St Croix are great ways to enjoy the Minnesota outdoors. The Mississippi River is also very accessible for a day paddle, rent a canoe or kayak and get some adventure.

Go Biking in Minneapolis

Minneapolis is a biking city, it’s very easy to get around town on one of the many bike trails.
Additionally the Twin Cities are loaded for mountain bike trials for
the off road peddlers. Way too many to name, but you could start at Battle Creek Regional Park in St Paul or Minneapolis’s Theodore Wirth Park.

If paved trails are more your speed? Plenty of options available, follow Minnihaha Creek from Lake Harriet to Lake Nokomis for a sweet ride. Both sides of the Mississippi River have bike trails and it’s a very nice ride from Hidden Falls to Crosby Farm in St Paul.

an hour north of the metro, known for basalt crack climbing the park is along the St. Croix River.

Minnesota’s original Ice Park, Ice climbing on natural and farmed ice all winter then come back for three seasons of sport climbing and bouldering.
